We are the longest established Hair Scientists and Registered Trichologists centre in Essex, having been established since 1964.

Qualified and experienced Registered Practitioners in Pure-Trichology offering advice and treatments (where appropriate) for many of the 40 + hair and scalp disorders.

Our Services
(ongoing after 45 years)

Our clinical practices at Gidea Park (Romford) and South Benfleet are pleasant and comfortable with air-conditioning and local parking availability.
We provide a welcoming friendly atmosphere and our professional fees are reasonable viz:

Consultation visits £65 (fee includes any treatment provided that day) allow 60 - 90 minutes.

Treatment visits £31 - £35 allow 35 - 60 minutes.

We provide:
Advice at consultation for the many hair and scalp problems including:
Hairloss • developing baldness • alopecia areata • excessive hairgrowth • scalp psoriasis •
dandruff • seborrhoeic dermatitis • contact reactions • scaly, irritable scalp • hair breakage • bubble hair • hair transplant options • etc, etc.

Treatments are usually hands-on and well proven during our 45 years in practice in Essex and London
• We do not use or provide the 'snake oil wonder cures' as offered by the charlatan brigade (these being extortionately expensive products which are not available at pharmacies and have no Product License -in our opinion they are of nil therapeutic value).

We use registered pharmaceutical medicines in our clinical practices.

We are registered with The Trichological Society the world's most respected and prestigious body in the hair-sciences discipline and thereby obligated to obey its Code of Ethics & Professional Practice Guidelines.

Our History

We are the Stevens Family.

Mr Barry Stevens founded the first pure trichology practice at Seven Kings in Essex in 1964. Throughout his 45 years of service dedicated to the advancement of the medical/scientific discipline of orthodox pure-trichology he pioneereed expert witness report writing, mini and micro hair transplanting techniques and was a founder of
The Trichological Society (TTS) - the world's most academically advanced and respected hair-scientists professional and educational body.
He is the visiting lecturer in Pure Trichological Sciences in U.K. India the Asia Pacific
He is available by appointment as a consulting hair-scientist at either of our practices (Benfleet and Gidea Park).

Ms Claire Stevens LTTS is qualified and registered with The Trichological Society (the highest academic level of qualification in the discipline - worldwide).
She is obligated by its Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Guidelines.

We have practiced in the same area for 45+ years.

All products used in our practices are orthodox pharmaceutical medicines and products.
We do not dispense 'snake oil cures' or claim to 'successfully treat' conditions for which no orthodox medical treatment is available.

We also undertake medico/legal reports and give advice in the Court.

We have full professional liability insurance.

We employ state of the art diagnostic equipment and offer reasonably priced consultations and treatments (where applicable)
for many of the 40 + diseases and conditions affecting human scalp and hair.

Since1964 the practices we jointly run at Benfleet (S.E.Essex) and Gidea Park (W.Essex/East London) have assisted 15000 + patients
(and in some instances their second and third generations).
